Motorcycle August 31, 2016

In 2016, just as with every other year, many affordable street bikes were released to the public for sale. This year has also brought forth quite a few very pricey street bikes and narrowing the list down to the top five is not an easy task to undertake. The typical price of a new motorcycle usually runs anywhere from $13,000 to just over $20,000 depending on the manufacturer as well as accessories that the rider may want to have included. Some of the priciest bikes can be found for just double the average cost while others have far more extreme prices and while some of these bikes may be unattainable for most of the biker population, they are most definitely worth checking out.

Harley-Davidson CVO Road Glide Ultra

Starting at just over $40K, the Harley Davidson CVO Road Glide Ultra is a sleek bike that comes with a wide array of options and custom exteriors. This is an aggressive bike with a V-Twin engine and plenty of power to get you where you need to be with ease. Whether you plan to take a quick trip downtown or even from coast to coast, this powerhouse will get you where you want to go in true comfort and style as only a Harley can. Included with this bike is a twin cooled twin cam 110 engine, new LED front signal lights, reflex linked brakes and added security with a new locking fob. It’s easy to see bike issues, speed and even play a few tunes during a ride on the 6.5-inch full color display that you will have right in front of your eyes at all times.

Kawasaki Ninja H2R

Kawasaki Ninja

The bike that comes in at number two on the list of pricey bikes in 2016 is the Kawasaki Ninja H2R with a price tag that starts at $50K. The new ninja reaches a top speed of more than 200 mph. That’s a hefty speed for a motorcycle and one that is sure to bring plenty of joy to thrill seekers all across the country.

Confederate G2 P51 Combat Fighter

Priced at around $114K for a white and $120K for a black and this bike is one of the most powerful bikes ever engineered by the Confederate company in Alabama. This bike has an S&S engine and is fully built from aerospace billet aluminum.

Honda RC213V-S

While this bike was engineered to ride on the streets, it was inspired by the Honda MotoGP racing bike and is actually fully built with the same precise standards as the race bike. The Honda RC213V-S is equipped with a parking stand and a starter motor and has a price tag of nearly $185K straight off the assembly line.

Ecosse Titanium Series FE Ti XX

Nothing says elegance quite like the Ecosse Titanium Series FE Ti XX which was designed and built by Ecosse Moto Works and is the second behind the Ecosse Titanium Series RR in a series of motorcycles dubbed the heretic series. This bike soared to the top spot on the list of pricey streets with its $300K price tag. The company designed and built this bike with a 225hp engine and grade 9 titanium pipes. Not only is the bike made from exquisite materials but when you purchase one you also receive a free ultra-expensive watch to wear during your ride or when lounging around. While this bike is presently the most expensive street bike in the world, it will soon be replaced with the next in the Heretic series, the ES1, which is touted to have a purchase price of a little over $350K.

Riders worldwide dream of owning a pricey bike like one of these and while many will never do so, dreaming is always a nice way to spend an afternoon. If you have plans to purchase your own dream bike, whether it is one of these elite models or another that you have had your eye on for a while, be sure to take time to really learn as much about the bike before you make the purchase. If it is listed from a seller out of state or even out of country, get to know the seller by checking reviews online and digging around to make sure they have satisfied customers. If you need to hire a motorcycle shipper, be sure that it is a company with a quality reputation that has been in business for no less than five years and check to see that their insurance and licensing is up to date before you hire them.

With the street bikes that made the list of the priciest on the market for 2016, one has to wonder what 2017 will bring when it comes to elite new bikes for the coming year.
